Goodbye Spanish Fork

Well, Matthew has been the main one making all the postings on the blog and I figured I better get started taking over before I completely lose him to the investment banking world in two weeks. We both have been very busy as we prepare to leave Spanish Fork and move out to San Fran this Friday. Matthew has gotten an entire new wardrobe to look extra sharp for his new job: suit, sport coats, slacks, shirts, shoes…you name it he got a new set.

We are making progress packing. I am of course worried about getting there and realizing that I forgot something important behind. Hopefully, it will all come together before we leave.

I am sad to leave my job. I have been working at Love to Learn, a homeschooling educational resource provider in Salem. Over the past year at this job I have made some great girlfriends that I am sad to leave behind as I head west. My birthday is coming up this weekend, so the girls threw me a going away/birthday party. Katie one of my friends at work made me a “Welcome to California” cake with homemade frosting and all. It was delish!

After work I went out with the girls to a farewell dinner at Pizza Factory here in Spanish Fork. Katie is going on a mission this summer and won’t be back until we are long gone from Utah so it makes the goodbye especially sad. I will miss them all!

Matthew is very nervous about starting his new job. He has been reading and studying like crazy. I am not sure why he is so nervous, he always does well.

Well I hope some of you will come visit me this summer in San Fran… I will be a lonely widow for the summer. Two days until we are on our way… can’t believe it!
