Earthquake!!

This morning at about 4:42 a.m. Matthew and I woke up to an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.2. The earthquake originated in Oakland and made its way into San Francisco. The quake woke me up from a dead sleep when our bed started to shake. Of course Matthew was dead asleep until I started yelling. He kindly informed me we just experienced an earthquake and to go back to sleep. Well of course this is my first experience and was freaking out and had no intention of going back to bed anytime soon. I was afraid there was going to be more! Matthew finally calmed me down and we were able to get a couple more hours of sleep before he had to go into work. There was some damage near the heart of the earthquake and there has been no report of injuries thus far. I guess now I can say I have survived an earthquake. I actually thought I would go the entire summer without feeling one. How silly am I!
