Goodbye To The Lone Star State

On the 20th of August I left Matthew in New York and headed back to Dallas to pack up the rest of our belongings and begin the move to San Francisco. With only a few days to get ready to leave I had to fit in a few goodbyes. Thursday my Mom and I took Jeri out to lunch for her birthday. I had such a good time visiting with her. She is a great friend of mine and I was sad to say goodbye. Friday my parents, Sophie (the dog), and I made the drive down to College Station so I could say goodbye to Ryan and Marissa. I was so glad to see them one last time before I moved away. I had never been to College Station so it was fun to check out a new area. While we were there we went to the George Bush Library. It was very interesting and I recommend it to all. Saturday we drove back to Dallas and that night I met up with a good friend of mine from high school, Mandy Matthews, for dinner at Maggiano’s. We went there because Courtney was working and thought it would be fun to see her again as well. I had a great time catching up with Mandy. It was great to see her and hear of her accomplishments thus far. Sunday I had dinner over at Gramps and Grams to celebrate Todd's birthday. Later that night my other set of grandparents came and said goodbye. When Monday rolled around the car was packed and my mom and I hopped into the car and started our long journey to San Francisco.
