Texas Fun

My trip to Texas was way too short. The main reason for visiting was to observe a couple of surgeries. The carotid and open heart surgeries were by far my favorite. It was such a great experience and I learned so much. I absolutely loved every bit of the OR!


I did get to spend some time with family while I was there. Marissa came up which always makes things more fun. On Sunday night we had the grandparents over for dinner. Marissa slaved away on her avocado egg rolls and yummy dessert. I was her assistant. I have to say they both turned out really delicious. Another day my parents took us out to dinner and a movie. It has been a really long time since it has been just the four of us. It was a fun bonding experience.

We also had a girls lunch with Jerri. It's always great to see her and to catch up on everything.


I miss Texas but am glad to be back with Matthew.
