My grandparents came to visit! They were here from Thursday (23rd) to Tuesday (28th). We had a lot of fun adventures and I loved showing them around the city. Here is a day to day rundown of what we embarked on.
· Thursday: Muir Woods. Lombard Street. An evening walk along embarcadero. Enjoyed the views of the bay and the ball park.
· Friday: Woke up to a slightly foggy day. Ferry ride to Alcatraz. The sun decided to come out along with its friend wind. Pier 39. Fishermen Wharf. Had some yummy dessert at Ghirardelli Square. Trolley ride. Union Square. A lot of walking.
· Saturday: Breakfast at the farmers market. Supported the local farmers. Enjoyed yummy samples of fruit. Ate a sourdough cheese wheel. Yummy. Craft fair. Ferry ride to Sausalito. Shopping and more eating. Enjoyed the views of the bay and city. Watched the local entertainers. Got more sun. Another breezy day. Dinner at Cheesecake Factory in Union Square with Matthew. Played dominos. I won. Twice.
· Sunday: Church. A walk along the Golden Gate Bridge. Watched all the sail boats. A drive on the 280 to Palo Alto. Showed Stanford and where I volunteer. Played another game of dominos. Grandma won.
· Monday: Grandpa came down really sick. Nursed him back to health. More shopping with Grandma at Pier 39. Made dinner and baked cookies.
· Tuesday: We said our goodbyes.
Thanks for coming! Matthew and I enjoyed your company. We hope you had as much fun as we did!! We love you guys.
