Three Generations

This past week Mom and Grams came to visit. We did a lot of playing and had some much needed girl time. It had been a while since Grams had seen San Francisco so we did all the normal tourist things. Our week entailed Pier 39, Fisherman Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, Trolley Ride, shopping in Union Square, dinner at Dosa (delicious Indian food), farmers market, shopping in Sausalito, walked all the way across the Golden Gate Bridge and back(Grams was on a mission to touch the other side), more shopping at Santana Row, Pinkberry (Dad I know you are jealous), Giants Ball Park tour, lunch with Matthew at Mixt Greens, movies, games, quilting, and of course Alcatraz (this was my 5th time). Phew that was a long list. I had a really fun time showing them around and playing tour guide again.

For those of you that don’t know my Grandma she is probably one of the funniest ladies you will ever meet. She is an awesome cook and great entertainment. She always makes me laugh with all the goofy things she says and does. She is a lot of fun to be around. Thanks Grams for coming!

My Mom. What can I say about my wonderful Mother? She is a very sweet, kind, loving, supportive Mother. I love getting the chance to see her. I could talk to her for hours about anything and everything. She is a great listener! Thanks for everything Mom. I had a really fun time and glad you came!

I love company. I love seeing family. I love playing tour guide and exploring this great city I live in. The worst part of having company is saying goodbye. I am reminded every time that I do not live near family. Don’t get me wrong. I absolutely love living in San Francisco. I love living in the city and the perks that come with that. I have become a city girl. I am a city girl. I think those that live away from family will agree that it’s like icing on the cake when family is nearby. It makes it that much better.

Fun pictures!

And I think you said it so well...having family close is the icing on the cake. I'd love to live closer to Dallas or NJ. VA will have to do!

I agree your grandma is a very amazing woman. Great cook, and fun to be around. I'm sure your mom is just as fun, hopefully my little family can get to know that side of the family much better someday! Looks like you guys had a great time!

Speaking of visitors... what are you doing tomorrow? :) Josh and I are here for a flying visit, staying in Petaluma, but we'll be on your side of the bridge for a while tomorrow, and I would love to stop by and say hi or meet up for lunch somewhere. I'll e-mail you!
