About a week ago Matthew and I flew down for Zoe's blessing day (May 2nd) and barley made it. This trip was not without its drama. First, it was a close call for Matthew to be able to attend because had been working around the clock for the past couple of months on a huge deal. Well the deal announced (HP buying Palm...some of you finance guys may of heard of it...it was all over CNN) two days before we took off for Dallas. We were all crossing our fingers and thank goodness it worked :) The second piece of drama (caused by me) was Friday, the day we took off for Dallas. I left clinical's at 2:30, rushed to the airport (45 min drive) to make our 4:20 flight, arrived at the airport at 3:15 and realized I didn't have my license or debit card. Yep, you guessed it. I had lost them both at Stanford. So picture me freaking out because I was. I rush to security and thankfully they let me through with my SS card, hospital badge, and my Costco card. In the end we both made it and with time to spare. We learned at the gate that our flight was delayed about 45 min. Phew. We were on our way to Dallas.
Saturday there was an open house for everyone to come and see Z. It was great to visit with so many friends and family. That night Matthew and I treated the family to Three Forks. You can't visit Texas and not have a steak dinner.
Sunday was the special day. It was another milestone in the Richmond family. Ryan did an amazing job on the blessing and I am so grateful that Matthew was able to be apart of the circle.
After sacrament meeting we headed home for a delicious dinner with all the grandparents and great grandparents. Shortly after Matthew and I caught our flight back to SF. Our trip was short but it was so worth it to be there on Z's special day. We had a hard time leaving her!
