Earlier in October I made a surprise visit to Texas. The original plan was to surprise my dad the weekend of Oct. 10th so that I could be there for his release as Bishop. Well his release date got pushed back a couple of weeks but I still decided to go down and surprise him (it's the thought that counts right?) It was great to see his reaction when I walked into his closet (he was working on the closet when I got to the house) and said "Hey, what are you up to?" He had to take a double look to make sure his eyes weren't playing games with him. I think he thought I was Marissa at first since she was in town too. It was a fun reaction and he had absolutely no idea!
I was in town for 12 days and my parents kept me busy. I helped my mom clean out the media room in hopes to actually turn it into a media room instead of a storage room. Dinner with the grandparents, Jaxen's birthday party, lunch with Jamie and the Texas State Fair twice (the first visit was a daddy daughter day... it was fun) were just a few other things I did during my stay.
It was a great and much needed visit to Texas. Thank you Matthew for sending me down and living without me for those 12 days. I know that can me hard on an i-banker :)
P.S. Please forgive the weird blue coloring on some of the photos. The setting was completely wrong at the time. Although, I think it gives a nice affect for the fun house pictures :)
