Hallelujah! Our midterms are done. It is always such a good feeling after a wave of really intensive tests are accomplished with good result. The best part is staying up late the Friday night after you’ve finished knowing you don’t have another test to worry about for at least a few weeks. I guess the negative is when there are no tests, up come all sorts of projects due. So Mandy and I are now busy on finishing all of those end-of-semester projects that creep up.
I am doing a really cool one working with the German Stock Exchange. We are presenting a stock recommendation, and are going to recommend a buy of Deutsche Post, the owner of DHL. The cool part is that because of our estimation of growth within DHL and the estimated depreciation of the dollar there is a double kick back for a US investor. It’s been a lot of fun…my group is going to blow the class away. All the other groups are working on typical US blue chips with mere modest gains given our slowing economy.
This next week should be interesting. Both of our families are converging in Spanish Fork to go to General Conference with us. Scott Wall was very nice to help us get some great tickets for a couple of the sessions.
