Last night was the Finance Society closing social for 2006-2007. They held a dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory with all the students, faculty, and spouses. I was officially introduced and had the opportunity to introduce myself and speak about a few of the programs I would like to develop for next year. All in all the evening was a lot of fun. However receiving this position last night has made for a dreadful day at school today. All my teachers are singling me out in class!
This morning one professor decided to announce my new role, asked me to speak for a few minutes, and then asked me to comment on every principle he taught throughout the lecture. Every five minutes in class it was “So Matt what is your take on….” …. “So Matt would you explain to the class…”. It was a nightmare. I had to pay 100% total attention cause I had no idea when the next assault was on its way. What’s worse it probably drove my classmates nuts…. Oh well.
Thank heavens it’s the end of the semester…having all your teachers know who you are is not necessarily a good thing!!!
Speaking of the end of the semester…Mandy and I cannot wait. A nice two week break…then we get to move to California!!!

Oh yeah- Congrats on your role, Matt! That's awesome. Kim Smith will be thrilled (he's at BYU now-makes sure to stay in touch with him). He's a bit sad that GS is losing some of it's BYU alum (myself and Lance Toler, who is off to graduate school at HBS). Keep the bridge alive and active!!
