Winding Down

Well life is finally starting to calm down for Matthew and me. Yesterday I had my final and I am proud to announce that I received an A in Calculus. I was pretty excited when I found out. I had to brag a little to Matthew. It doesn’t happen very much, so when I get the chance I take full advantage of it.

Today is Matthew’s last day as an intern at Goldman Sachs. He is really sad to see it end because he has loved it so much. At the same time he is looking forward to having some free time to explore the city as well as seeing family and friends. We will know later in August if he got the job. From the reviews he has received he feels optimistic about the opportunity. We are both waiting in anticipation to see what the future has in store for us!

Matt heading to work on his last day.

Last night Matthew and I went out to dinner with his boss Stephanie and her boyfriend. We went to a Greek restaurant called Kokkari. Now I have been to my share of nice restaurants but nothing like this. The experience begins right when you walk in. The decorations were just amazing! Everything was so ornate inside and the seats were big and comfy. The food was fantastic. It was definitely different from what I am use to. I mean this was true Greek food. The smell of the food, the display of the food… it was all perfect. The night was great and we had such a good time visiting with them.

In the next couple of weeks we will explore the city, see Matt’s family and get ready to move back to Utah on August 12th. Then we turn around and fly to Dallas for a family trip to Nauvoo. We are there for about a week and then we head back to Utah to start work and school. We are both looking forward to returning to our condo and to see our friends again. Matt and I only have two more semesters and then its graduation time! The light is at the end of the tunnel and it’s very exciting!
