It's over...

Well, my intern days with GS are over I am sad to say. My summer was an absolute blast. I have never worked so hard in my life. Over the course of the summer I worked 70 days in a row, an average of 18 hours a day, pulled 5 all nighters of which 3 were back to back and worked on 7 teams gaining $2.0 billion of direct transactional experience.

The best part about working for GS was definitely the people. One of the greatest things about working in an investment bank is that everyone is smart, everyone is hardworking and everyone is passionate about being successful. I feel that I really thrived in that environment and found it to be incredibly rewarding. A close second to the people would be the high energy learning environment. Every day all summer long I was learning new things, everything from different valuation models to how the timber industry works. I really enjoyed getting such a close look at different business models and gaining such a high level education in finance.

I’m really appreciative for all the help I received getting in the door there. It was definitely a life changing experience. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity.
