Though our anniversary was in the middle of the week, we waited till the weekend to celebrate so that we could have a full day event. We started off by having breakfast at Norma’s at the Le Parker Meridien Hotel up on 57th Avenue. This place has one of the most amazing breakfast menu’s I have ever seen. They serve waffles with Crème Brulee on top of them, along with all sorts of other decadent breakfast foods.

After breakfast we made our way up to the Manhattan Temple where we were able to do a session and some sealings. The temple is absolutely gorgeous inside. I had wanted to go since we got here, but one thing after another kept coming up and it had been hard to find the time to go. I’m really glad we took time out on our anniversary to do this, it made the day all that much more special.
In the afternoon we headed over to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to check out all the fine artwork. The museum was absolutely incredible with a wide variety of artwork from all periods. One of my favorite sections was in the armory where they had artistic armor from all over the world. I can’t understand how people could comfortably walk around in some of those outfits…
We closed out the day by having dinner at Rosa Mexicano, a trendy New York Mexican place. It had a very cool atmosphere, but California definitely has much better Mexican Food. After dinner we went to the Broadway Production of The Little Mermaid. Having loved the Lion King, saw on Broadway a few years back, we were excited to see the latest Disney Broadway production. Despite it getting some bad reviews we really liked it. The sets were amazing, the costumes were great and the music was very well done.

It was a great day to celebrate a great three years together. I am so thankful to have found such a wonderful partner to share my life with. Marrying Mandy was definitely the best decision I have ever made and she has filled my life with happiness, excitement and a whole new sense of adventure. I am excited for all the adventures that lie ahead knowing I have her to share them with…
One more week and then we are off to San Francisco!!!

You will definitely need to give Rosa Mexicana another chance though. I love it there!
And I am SO jealous that you went to the Manhattan Temple! It definitely is a gorgeous temple. (Then again, I am probably very biased)
