The 14th was Matthew’s birthday. The entire week he was super busy and didn’t have much time to celebrate. His family (Craig, Diane, Megan and her fiancé Dave) surprised him on Friday by coming into town. That night we went to Slanted Door which is a modern Vietnamese restaurant. This place is so popular you have to make reservations months in advance. Slanted Door lived up to all the hype. The modern decor, relaxing atmosphere and fantastic food made for a wonderful evening. Matthew and I fell in love with the place and will definitely be going back.
Saturday we spent the first half of the day walking around the farmers market, grabbing breakfast and enjoying the craft fair. I then headed to Muir Woods with the family while Matthew went to work. We had a great time hiking and exploring nature. The redwood trees are amazing!
I just want to say thank you to Matthew’s family for making the trip up here and making Matthew’s birthday special. We had a great time seeing you all.

So after I read Twilight I decided it would be fun to keep reading. But, not as obsessively :) as I did the twilight series. That's my plan at least. I thought your post on the book -City of Bones would be good. I went to the library to see if they had it....holy cow. It already had 19 reservations for it! Goodness! I guess I'll get to it in awhile! It must be good. I guess I just wanted to tell ya!
