On Monday morning we rented a car and drove to Pearl Harbor. We started off by touring the U.S.S. Bowfin Submarine. All I can say is wow. This submarine was so small I was having to duck to get around. It was definitely a learning experience for me to see how a submarine functioned and I admire the men who had to live in such tight quarters. After the audio tour of the submarine we watched a video on the history of Pearl Harbor and the events that led up to it. The movie was really well done and informative. We then took a boat over to the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial and payed our respects to the men who fought for our country. It was so unreal to see that ship under water and the names of the brave men who died that day.
After Pearl Harbor we headed back to the hotel to catch some more sun rays while riding the waves of the ocean. Later that night we had dinner at PF Chang's. We hadn't eaten there since living in Utah so it was fun to go back and eat their delicious food. After dinner we strolled along the beach back to our hotel and called it a night. We were so tired after a full day of fun.
