I am very behind in blogging but thought it was about time to put up some pictures from our recent trip to Hawaii. Matthew and I traveled there in May for a short getaway after he had finished the IPO and Cloud Computing Conference he had been working on.
To get the time off from my job I had to work 3 nights before we left and the 3 nights right after we came back, which was pretty exhausting!! We left on my birthday just a few hours after I got home from work. I was so out of it the entire flight, trying to catch up on sleep, even the flight attendant asked Matthew if I was alright and doing okay.
This was a very different vacation for us as we were both just focused on relaxing given how busy work had been for Matthew and all that is going on at home. We spent most of our time at the beach, got a couples massage and trying out some fun restaurants. We did venture out and drive the road to Hana and go out to snorkel the Molokini crater(follow up posts to come).
We stayed at the Westin Maui just north of Lahiana. The hotel was great, the beach out front was just amazing and it was just an incredible and relaxing trip. It wasn't a bad way to turn 27 either :)

i definitely want to try maui someday. have you guys been to kauai? i am obsessed now after having gone there. SO much better than oahu... but that's kind of a given. i want to see more pictures!
